Tissue Paper in Packaging Printing and Book Printing
Origin:Image Printing  Data: 3/5/2011  Keywords: Tissue Paper printing, Gravure Printing

In a book printing job, this thin paper is used to wrap the book, especially when the book surface is very smooth, elegant, and easy to scratch. With tissue paper wrapping, the book could be sleeved into a gift box as a present. This case often happens to high quality diary, guest book or bible printing job. If sometimes the colors should be printed before using as packaging wrapping paper, gravure printing would be involved for packaging printing.

These special soft thin papers, usually available in a low weight of between 17gsm and 30gsm, are used for wrapping articles where the surface is susceptible to abrasion. All of them are generally white, but can it made available in a range of colors. There are three basic qualities available: acid-free, machine-glazed and machine-glazed mechanical tissues. Acid-free papers are invariably unglazed and bleached, and they contain no chemical impurities of any great degree. They are particularly concerned with protecting goods that are susceptible to the action of acids, for example, silverware, and also for wrapping expensive goods such as jewelry, to enhance their appearance. The machine-glazed papers are less costly than the acid-free, although they have a very smooth texture, do not have quite the same degree of purity. They are extensively used for interleaving metals where soft paper is required. The machine-glazed mechanical tissue is coarser than machine-glazed tissue and includes some mechanical wood pulp in its furnish. This can result in damage to goods with high finishes, but it is particularly suitable for counter sales of bread and for protecting glassware, where a cheap quality tissue is suitable.

Tissue paper is a lightweight paper or, light crepe paper. Tissue can be made both from virgin and recycled paper pulp. Tissue paper is used to make a huge range of products with different properties and quality demands. Key properties are: strength, absorbency, basis weight, thickness (bulk), brightness, stretch, appearance and comfort.

Tissue paper is produced on a paper machine that has a single large steam heated drying cylinder (yankee dryer) fitted with a hot air hood. The raw material is paper pulp. The yankee cylinder is sprayed with adhesives to make the paper stick. Creping is done by the yankee's doctor blade that is scraping the dry paper off the cylinder surface. The crinkle (creping) is controlled by the strength of the adhesive, geometry of the doctor blade, speed difference between the yankee and final section of the paper machine and paper pulp characteristics. The properties are controlled by pulp quality, creping and additives (both in base paper and as coating). The wet strength is often an important parameter for tissue paper. The highest water absorbing applications are produced with a through air drying (TAD) process. These papers contain high amounts of NBSK and CTMP. This gives a bulky paper with high wet tensile strength and good water holding capacity. The TAD process uses about twice the energy compared with conventional drying of paper.

Image Printing Packaging Limited here try to introduce something useful of tissue paper in book printing and packaging printing field.
